Naltrexone
Naltrexone is an approved medication assistance treatment for patients addicted to alcohol. There are two opioid maintenance treatment medications approved in the US, methadone and buprenorphine. Naltrexone is the third approved medication for addiction to opiates, and has the advantage of providing a non-addictive medication for assistance in treatment recovery.
Addiction can be thought of as a complex brain disease that has the ability to affect the functioning of a person’s motivation and reward centers. The electrical activity in the addicted brain has precise pathways that can easily be short circuited causing delicate learning and memory cells to be damaged, especially in the hippocampus. The hippocampus is a critical brain structure in the formation of long term memories and learning.
The cornerstone of ARC’s comprehensive treatment platform is a long term implant of naltrexone or buprenorphine. The implant will provide a tool for providers and patients to promote a drug free environment for an extended period of time. This time will provide an opportunity for the brain to heal and recover.
The entire ARC staff are proud to be associated with the ARC programs for addiction to opiates and alcohol. The ultimate goal, is to provide an opportunity for the brain to heal itself. If the brain is able to achieve some success, the patient may eventually be able to feel normal again.
Dr. Paul G. Flatley, DO
Doctor
Paul G. Flatley, DO is a Board Certified physician in Emergency Medicine. Though not an Arizona native, he has called Phoenix his home since 1995 when he came to Arizona to do his residency at Maricopa Medical Center. Since completing residency, Dr. Flatley has practiced medicine at Scottsdale Healthcare. During his 18 year tenure, he has held numerous positions including Medical Director and Chair in which capacity he functioned for 5 years. Recently, Dr. Flatley has developed a new area of interest and over the past 2 years has begun to transition out of the emergency department and into the field of addiction recovery. He has found this new field challenging but rewarding and looks forward to continuing to help patients find freedom in a life without substance abuse.

Jason Pace, PA
Physician Assistant
Jason received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from The United States Marine Corps. and is an alumnus of The University of Utah (BS in Sociology) and Central Michigan University (MS in Administration). A Marine since 1990, Jason has worked in a medical capacity abroad as a Senior Brigade Physician Assistant in addition to beginning his military career as an Aviation Ordnance Technician. Jason enjoys spending time with his WONDERFUL wife Wendy and their children and grandchild. Jason also enjoys boating, woodworking, and motorcycle riding. It is a privilege to practice medicine where I can continue to help serve others.
Lori Sieffert, RN
Registered Nurse
Lori grew up in North Dakota and moved to Arizona in 1982. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies. She worked for several years in the legal field, and then took some time off when her children were young. She then went back to school and earned her RN Degree. She worked for several years in Labor and Delivery, and loved the interaction with patients and their families. Her family has been touched by the disease of addiction, and she understands that is a disease that affects not only the addict, but everyone around them. Her compassion to help addicts and their families, has brought her to Addiction Recovery Centers.

Ganesh Acharya
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Acharya has been involved in the healthcare industry for the past ten years.
He started his career as a healthcare analyst for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), which is Arizona’s Medicaid program. At AHCCCS, he was the sole analyst for the executive management team and his duties focused on developing financial projections for proposed legislation and operational analysis for program implementations. Mr. Acharya worked as a consultant for Health Management Associates, a strategy firm that specialized in executive level strategy development for large public hospitals and health plans. He primarily focused on emerging market analysis for hospital service lines and sources of healthcare governmental funding. Mr. Acharya worked in strategy, product/marketing for Cigna’s medical services delivery unit as well.
In July of 2010, Mr. Acharya joined the Good Samaritan Hospital team and assumed the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) position in February of 2011. In August of 2014, Mr. Acharya assumed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position. As the CEO, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Hospital.
Mr. Acharya holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Supply Chain Management and a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a Master’s of Health Sector Management with an emphasis in Healthcare Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Rogelio Monzon
Director of Finance
Mr. Monzon is relatively new to the healthcare industry, but a seasoned financial professional. He has extensive experience in the institutional banking sector from working for major financial companies such as Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase & Co. In January of 2013, Mr. Monzon moved from Phoenix, Arizona to join the Good Samaritan Hospital team in assuming the management duties of the accounting and revenue cycle departments.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science and a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Mr. Monzon is also a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA).
He is a passionate sports fan and enjoys being active in basketball, softball, snowboarding, surfing and Cross Fit. He is an avid golfer, but admits not a very good one.
